We invite members of the SPS community (faculty, staff, students) to join one or more of these committees <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[create a form for people to sign up for a committee. For more info they can contact the co-chair of the particular committee]:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communications Committee\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus area: plan and design messaging for the community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-chair: Matt Lewis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pedagogy and Practice Committee:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus area: develop recommendations and best practices related to teaching on the platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-chair: Antonia Levy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical Committee\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus area: review and make recommendations on technical issues for the platform and for integrations with other systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-chair: Jos\u00e9 Muniz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and Support Committee\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus area: assess needs and develop training and support plans for faculty, staff and students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-chair: Sarah Kresh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the four implementation committees, the governance structure includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Steering committee:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key responsibility: setting committee priorities, decision making and risk escalation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair: CUNY SPS Dean<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project and Change Management Team:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key responsibility: tracking progress and work from committees and other staff involved in migration, regularly reporting on status and risks to Steering Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair: Ruru Rusmin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: co-chairs of all the implementation committees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Given how deeply embedded the LMS is in school operations, we are standing up a governance structure that includes four, specialized implementation committees.
